Anybody know how to do a rain dance?

Alternatively, does anyone have a large supply of silver iodide so we can try some cloud seeding? It's really dry out there. Our

lawn is somewhere between “well-done” and “extra-crispy.” I've asked a couple of people to just set it on fire for me, but given

the recent experience with the Pocosin Lake fire, I guess I can understand why nobody has taken me up on it.

The big news is that Tom and Sandy Saccio have done a great job in soliciting local (Washington, NC) financial support for Wright Flight.

I'm sure they'll gladly give more details, but they deserve a big round of applause at the next meeting for their efforts in this worthwhile

program. If you've got an airplane and the time, I urge you to voulunteer the next time they have an event.

The forum is back down again. Bob reported that we were getting some -uh- interesting postings. Until I can figure out how to

enable a simple password dialog, it'll be unavailable. Nobody really seemed to be using it anyway. A shame, really, since I think

it would be a nice feature to have for the chapter. Just one voice in an echo chamber...

I've been busy of late, mostly sitting in Texas waiting for parts. Hopefully I'll make it to a cookout or a meeting one of these days so

I can show off the World's Sorriest-Looking Taylorcraft. Ugly, but she carried me 1100 miles from College Station, TX! I can now say I've

really seen a narrow strip of this great land between there and here. Fifteen-hundred feet is much different than 35,000 feet, that's for sure.

I hope your summer is going well and please stay cool and hydrated.
