MINUTES FOR MEETING ON MAY 19, 2007

 

Meeting was called to order by Tom Saccio at 10:10 am.

 

Laura Lee Potter is no longer able to fill her position as Secretary/ Treasurer and Tom asked for volunteers for both or either position.  Sandy Saccio agreed to fill the two positions as of July.

 

Guests Dillon and Sandy Stalls from EAA Chapter 960 were introduced.

 

Charles Lewis talked about the South Oak Aerodrome and the progress on electrical wires being laid underground.

 

A list for t-shirt orders was sent around the room.

 

Tom reiterated the need for volunteers for meals and programs for the future.  Marv Jensen agreed to do the November lunch.  Tom will be speaking to the person that is painting his plane about doing a program some time this summer.

 

New Business

Discussion about an electronic newsletter to be put on the website as well as an e-mail.  Marv Jensen volunteered to get information and put out the newsletter.

 

Also, website needs updating and revamping.  Bob Neil said he could change the welcome page more often; Charles Lewis suggested sending in pictures and giving information on our planes, etc.   "What's New" link and up-coming events link suggested.

 

Tom Saccio brought up the possibility of having "advanced hands-on" programs on electrical wiring, machine work, etc.

 

Members gave updates on their planes and projects.

 

Members expressed interest in viewing other members' projects in conjunction with monthly meetings.

 

Tom Saccio and Charles Lewis gave an update on the Wright Flight program in Washington and Greenville.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 12 noon.

 

Lunch was served by Eddie and Janet Williams while members viewed Charles and Judy Lewis' slide presentation on Sun N Fun 2007.
