EAA Chapter 1423

June 16, 2007 Meeting

George Tamvakis called the meeting to order at 10:10 am.

Business

Secretary/Treasurer position is to be assumed by Sandy Saccio as of July 2007. George explained options for putting new person in place. Vote taken at May meeting and approved.

Regular t-shirts will be on hand at any time.

Polo shirts will be ordered when minimum of 12 is reached.

We will reorder hats.

Newsletter : Marv Jensen will be doing this. Most chapters do an electronic newsletter.

George suggested visiting other shops/hangars - perhaps on the first Saturday of the month.

Another option is that every Monday in Smithtown [sp?] guys get together and cook out. Is this something our Chapter would like to do? We will try it here around 5:30 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 21st at the hangars up front.

Charles gave an update about burying the wire - GUC said it s/b within the month. If power lines are down by end of August, then we can look at September or October for fly-in. George suggested middle of September. Membership agreed on the third Saturday in September [September 15].

George asked for suggestions for future programs. Some ideas were painting and wiring [hands-on, practical].

George brought up website. We want it to be a little more "active". Bob Neil and Wes Banks plan to meet about this.

George introduced Berry St. John who gave the program.
