Returning members and new guests, Berry St. John and Craig Tiber were welcomed.
The minutes from the April 15th meeting were reviewed by George.
The Treasurer’s Report was read and approved.
George informed the group of a couple of educational courses that could benefit those interested. One is an ELSA Repairman’s Course which would allow people to do their own maintenance and inspections on a Light Sport plane that was bought already completed from someone else. However, after discussion the group decided that it would not be beneficial to pursue due to the course being aimed specifically for LSA not experimental aircraft.
Another option would be to have Bob Nuckolls come and teach his “Aero Electric” course. This is a 1 ½ day course costing approximately $185 - $200 including books and diagrams. Bob gives instruction on avionics, wiring and much more. Since there was some interest in this course offering among the group, George will check into this further.
George reminded the group to make their choices for the EAA videos from the list.
