organization, based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that is dedicated to
promoting recreational aviation and home built aircraft.
- What is EAA 1423?
- EAA Chapter 1423 is a local organization in Winterville, North
Carolina. Winterville is just south of Greenville.
- When do you meet?
- We meet the third Saturday of the month at 9:30 AM.
- What do you do at the meetings?
- We generally have a program that involves some aspect of
aviation or home building. And we have lunch.
- Where are the meetings?
- At South Oak field in Winterville, NC. From Greenville, drive
south on Arlington until it changes to County Home Road.
Then drive six more miles and turn right on South Oak Drive.
- What is South Oak field?
- It is a 2100 foot grass landing strip. There are several houses
next to the landing strip. Many of the residents are EAA members and
fly home built planes.
- Do you need to be a pilot to join or attend?
